Okay, if we get this far into the RP, there will be sicknesses. Below is some information on them (most are taken from the Warriors series)
Whitecough
Just a common cough, the cat may cough up some mucus, but it isn't deadly. Symptoms are just coughing. However, if it is untended, it will turn into something worse...
Greencough
A deadlier form of Whitecough, in which a cat coughs up green mucus. Symptoms to this is weariness, coughing (and coughing up green mucus), weeping eyes, runny nose, fever, irregular breathing and, in some cases, vomiting. If this sickness is not tended to, the cat will die. The only herb that can cure this is catmint, or chickweed, found in the Suburban Area or in rare patches in the forest.
Yellowcough
In which the cat coughs up yellowy mucus, another deadlier form to Whitecough and similar to Greencough. Symptoms to this is a loss of appetite, fever, difficulty breathing, delirium, and sore throats. If not treated, the cat will die. The only herb that cures this is lungwort, a rare herb found in clearings.
Redcough
In which the cat with the sickness coughs up blood. Symptoms to this fever, weariness and, of course, coughing. The only cure to this is sap from an old pine tree in the forest (I will add a thread with the pine in it if any cat catches it)
Poisoning
Everyone knows what poisoning is, but how the cats get it is below :3
-Eating or drinking poisonous substances or plants such as deathberries. Kits are the ones who usually fall victim to this, being curious and unaware of the danger.
-Eating poisoned or rotten prey or drinking tainted water.
-Inhaling too much smoke from a fire.
-Being bitten by a venomous animal such as a snake.
The symptoms to this is usually just a bellyache if a small amount is consumed, but if a large quantity is consumed, and the cat is cured, they may be unconscious for a period of time.
Poisons
Deathberries
Description: Red berries from the dark-leaved, poisonous yew bush.
Location: Anywhere.
Usage: Sometimes used to kill other cats by making them eat the berry.
Effect: Kills a cat within minutes when consumed.
Foxglove Seeds
Description: Tiny, black seeds from the bell-shaped flower of the foxglove plant.
Location: Almost everywhere, especially in temperate regions.
Usage: They are used to treat the heart, with the correct usage. If the cat consumes too much, they will die.
Effect: They can easily cause paralysis and heart failure.
They are often mistaken for poppy seeds because they look extremely similar.
Holly Berries
Description: Plant with spiny leaves that produces red berries with no medicinal value.
Location: Forests.
Usage: Eaten
Effect: Paralysis and vomiting
Deadly Nightshade
Description: A small shrub with faintly scented, bell-shaped flowers that are purple tinged with green in colour. Berries are shiny and black when ripe.
Location: Moist, shady places. Often grows in places where the soils are rich in limestone.
Usage: To kill a cat who cannot be saved quickly.
Effect: Poisonous.
Water Hemlock
Description: Green or white flowers with petals in umbrella-shaped clusters
Location: Wet, marshy areas.
Usage: Eaten
Effect: Causes writhing, pain, and foaming at the mouth.
Rat-borne sicknesses
Infection from a rat's teeth and from eating a rat. Causes bellyaches and festering wounds and the cat may die if it is not treated. The only efficient cure is a herb called Burdock root.
Will probably add more to this.
